Incredible Years & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Project

This project is designed
to provide parents and childcare providers with information and skills
to respond more effectively to challenging and aggressive behaviors in
young children, ages 2-5. It involves the implementation and evaluation
of a well-researched intervention, "The Incredible Years," developed
by Carolyn Webster-Stratton, Ph.D. to prevent the development of conduct
disorders in young children. The grant from the Substance Abuse Mental
Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) involves collaboration between
Multnomah County Department of Community and Family Services, Behavioral
Health Division, Morrison Center, and Metro Child Care Resource and Referral,
and the RRI. Barbara Friesen and Constance Lehman are Co-Principal Investigators
for the evaluation.
