Evaluation Information
Oregon was in the third year in 2008-2009 of a Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act grant for youth suicide prevention in four regions of the state. Oregon's GLSMA initiative includes multiple components aimed at: 1) reducing suicide and suicide attempts among youth and young adults; 2) monitoring data trends to identify and serve high-risk young people; and 3) developing and implementing services in schools, emergency departments, and youth care systems.
