How to set a printer for double-sided printing

1. You will want to click on your Start:Settings:Printers and Faxes.
2. First you need to make sure your computer knows that the printer can print double sided. Find your printer in the list and right click on it. Choose Properties
3. Click the Device tab at the top of the Properties window.
4. Under the Installable Options find Duplex Unit and choose installed. This will tell your computer that the printer is capable of printing double sided. Click Apply and OK.
5. Now right click on the printer again and select Printing Preferences.
6. Most printers will have the double sided settings in the Layout tab. "Flip on Long Edge" in the "Print on Both Sides" section is what you need to check to begin double sided printing. Press Apply and Ok and you are done.
6b. A limited amount of printers don't have a layout tab. In that case the setting is in the Finishing tab. In document options click the Print on both sides, then press Apply and Ok and you are done.
